On Saturday the 29th of October the Blues travel to Connaught for a RaboDirect Super 12 game. Connaught are always difficult opposition and the Blues must be looking forward to seeing their returning Wales stars back on the field after a very successful World Cup, but we'll have to wait a little longer as the stars are rested. We also await the sight of Gavin Henson in full Blues kit!
I for one wonder what position he will play when he finally does make the field. One thing is certain, with the return of Jamie Roberts, Leight Halfpenny and Gethin Jenkins and to knowledge they will soon be joined by a fit-again Gavin Henson, Blues fans can look forward to winning games and being serious contenders for some silverware!
A question, though... Where will the Blues coaches play Leigh Halfpenny? Wing or full back? Now he is Wales first choice full back I very much hope they play him in his Wales team position. And where will Gavin Henson play? Jamie Roberts has looked very good indeed at 12 for Wales? Interesting questions. I hope all the regions put Wales first ahead of their own interests. I know they are separate businesses out to win trophies for themselves, but a winning Wales team will increase the gates for the regions and Gatland has proved himself the coach who knows what he is talking about, in my opinion, the regional coaches would be best advised to listen.
