Cardiff City, with the new coach, Malky Mackay, have had a mixed start. I wonder how much competition with Swansea last season led to the Bluebirds being rarely out of the play off places and near the end of the season looked sure bets for automatic promotion? Instead it was the Swans who went up to the premier league with Cardiff falling at the last hurdle... So close, yet so far away.I for one am a believer, but perhaps that they will gain promotion in a couple of seasons under Malky. Maybe expecting promotion in his first season is asking too much?
I do feel Malky Mackay deserves the confidence of the Bluebird fantastic fans. Kenny Miller, for example, is proving to be an excellent signing for the club and, arguably, the team did need a shake-up after the David Jones era, with a few of the previous regular team needing to go. And after the one nil win over Burnley, Cardiff City are now in the quarter finals of the Carling cup. A couple of good wins on the trot and Cardiff will get back to their more familiar position near the top of the table and who knows... Maybe, just maybe... ;)
